Though Kasuko has successfully repelled an intruder, he seeks reassurance that the will of humankind has not weakened. If you duel and defeat the dragon with your own strength of body and character, it will stop Kasuko from setting the nearby villages ablaze. You will have the respect of Kasuko, and I will arrange for your efforts to be properly honored.
That duel was beautiful! I hope to one day match your skill, strength, and poise when it comes time for me to take on the duty of dueling Kasuko. Thanks to you, Kasuko has forgiven our human folly. Ah, though the amount of intruders is increasing, I am glad that they have mostly been human. Should one have been a Dwarf, Elf, or Horc, another one of their own must duel Kasuko, meaning we'd be in a bind.

Requirements: Must have Blade of Awe in your inventory.
Kalayo senses great power in you, and wishes to continue dueling so he may hone his own claws. In turn, we will hone yours. If you gather Volcanic Essence from Kayalo, the scales of the great dragon in /gravestrike, the Molten Cores from monsters lurking in /battleundere, and Scrolls of Scorched Steel, we will turn your Blade of Awe into an eternal blaze.
The Blaze of Awe is complete, and it is truly awe inspiring. I am relieved that our familiarity with enchanted fire matched your sword. Though that shouldn’t be any surprise. Fire is the universal nurturer of life and its most efficient destroyer. Perhaps it’s why dragons and mortals attuned to fire are so powerful, and in danger of having their ambitions and emotions engulf them.

Requirements: Must have Blinding Light of Destiny (Axe) in your inventory.
Fire and Light are similar indeed, and I believe we can make your Blinding Light of Destiny blaze with brilliance. Kalayo wishes to continue dueling with you to hone his claws, and will give you the Volcanic Essence needed to forge this weapon. Our craftsmen will also need the scales of the great dragon in /gravestrike, the Molten Cores from monsters lurking in /battleundere, and Scrolls of Scorched Steel.
Greenguard customs are different from ours but I see that followers of Light are uniform no matter where we go. They are vanquishers of dark designs and defenders of innocent souls. They say the soul is a light that remains even after your body succumbs. My people believe that the soul is a ball of flame, and one can catch glimpses of spirits, what we call Santilmo, lingering to resolve unfinished business. With how similar Light and Fire can be, both views can exist in harmony.

Requirements: Must have Necrotic Sword of Doom (Sword) in your inventory.
That is a very dangerous sword, but I would rather it be in your hands than that of the unworthy. Pit that blade against Kalayo for Volcanic Essences, retrieve the scales of the great dragon in /gravestrike, Molten Cores from monsters lurking in /battleundere, a Flame Heart from Smoldur in /ashfallcamp, and Scrolls of Scorched Steel. We will take those materials and bathe your Sword of Doom in fire.
By chance, has that blade ever spoken to you? No? Perhaps it never had a spirit, or it isn’t confident that it could put you under its thrall. Apologies, it’s just that these weapons are infamous in our tales. Though not as powerful, there used to be more of them spread across continents. We have an old tradition where we attempt to purify weapons like these with fire, after witnessing an evil spirit being executed by burning. It happened centuries ago, but I believe the empire that did this still stands.
