I've never seen one come all the way here before. No… you're real? All of the humans are gone. They left behind afterimages that repeat the same words over and over. Our real partners already… Even if we could leave Carcossa and live in the new world, the humans wouldn't remember us. We'll just be strangers. I don't think I could take it, not after everything we went through together.

I'll show them… The Shadowscythe, Valoth, all of them are going to regret looking down on me. I am not small. I am not weak! When I get out of here, I'll gorge on darkness and blood! Zigfried! Do you hear me!? You're a liar! I'll tear the heart out of every blasted human for what you've done! If the creator is listening, I'll bow, I'll worship, I'll do anything! Just give me your blessing, and allow me to exist!
