The Pale Rider
Conquest made a vow of silence when he became one of the Horsemen of the Apocalypse. The Pale Rider has to communicate by tracing letters on your palm, but he isn't used to holding conversations, and frequently makes mistakes or goes too fast. "If you help me win the tournament and earn that wish," he writes through a masked and inscrutable expression, "I will tell you why I made my vow.
Steed
"Each Rider is a Legionnaire chosen by an ancient steed," Conquest writes. "The five of us became Horsemen of the Apocalypse after our predecessors were slain, decided to dismount, or were forcibly put down. Our horses, meanwhile, existed long before the Legion was established. Lore Dage discovered them during his time under the Archfiend's tutelage."
Vow
The Pale Rider writes "I took a vow of silence as soon as I became the Horseman of Conquest," traces the Pale Rider. "Few are even aware that I made it at all. Only my predecessor knew why I stay silent, and she kept it a secret from Lord Dage until the very end. She now rests in the River Lethe, free and at peace. If you help me win this tournament, I will sate your curiosity, and become free myself."
Wish
The Pale Rider writes "Lord Dage promised a wish to the Reap's winner," Conquest writes. "I have one in mind. It would never be granted otherwise, and even making the request could incite Lord Dage's wrath. I have no concern for the manner in which we attain victory. Sabotage, bribery, forbidden rituals… anything goes. So long as the strategy is our own, I will carry out your vision."
The Pale Rider
Your chosen Rider warms up by drawing his bow, and shooting an arrow forwards the Dungeons of the Phlegethon. It strikes one of the skeletal competitors ambling over the bridge, shattering their skill before they realize what happened. Evidently, Conquest is raring to go.
After completing the 'Suspicious Distraction' quest:
The Pale Rider
Death awaits Conquest in the final duel of the round robin. If the Horseman of Death is backed by Dage, there's a high chance that Conquest will lose his steed before the Reap even begins. Death will also do everything in how power to make the Pale Rider speak. Despite the stakes, Conquest is confident in himself, and the new alliance you brokered. In fact, he's a little excited.
Talk
Conquest admits that he almost broke his vow of silence during the duel with Death.Injury
General Rand waited until the others turned their back before stitching Conquest's wound shut. This injury will have to heal on its own. Healing spells and magic potions won't work. General Vaughn's blade was forged by Dage himself, mimicking the quirks of its wielder's bloodline. Though Vaughn can't use magic, spells won't affect him either. Conquest can't help but poke and prod at the wound. It's been a long time since he bled like a mortal.Pride
The Horseman of Death almost forced Conquest's voice out his throat. That would have finished the duel immediately, and brought the Pale Rider's tenure to an end. He traces his thoughts on you palm, "I make my enemies kneel through my own might. My arrows strike true because of my own skill. The strategies we used to undermine our opponents succeeded because of our intellect. That's what makes a victory meaningful."Past
Who was Conquest before he began wearing the mantle of the Pale Rider? The Horseman hesitates before writing on your palm. "My heart pulsed until I turned twenty. A fact that my forebearers would have despaired over. They gave up everything that had- their bodies, souls, and chances of living forever- to give me life… and a unique gift. Twenty gold coins from the rich is nothing, but twenty from the poor is everything." You can't help but shiver.
After completing the 'Death's Revelation' quest:
The Pale Rider
The injury General Vaughn inflicted on Conquest will have to heal on its own. Magic and potions can't close the wound. If you don't think of a way to keep your rider in the game, he'll be disqualified. Conquest reaches for your hand and traces a question. "Lord Dage spoke highly of your battle prowess. How good is your aim?" What he should be asking is, "What are your measurements?".

The real Reap hasn't started yet. You'll need to attend the qualifiers in /PhlegethonArena first. Conquest will be waiting for you.
After completing the 'Death's Revelation' quest:

Healing spells and magic potions won't be able to get Conquest back on his hooves. You'll have to disguise yourself as him, and win at least four duels before Lachesis can find the right healer. Hmm… maybe you should have suggested a veterinarian.

Conquest's vow of silence kept him from talking with the other Horseman, but there were invisible walls separating them anyways.Wound
Vaughn didn't just throw his sword at random," Conquest writes. "He was aiming for specific veins. My ability to use magic has been temporarily stifled." It's odd, being forced to men a wound without spells. Conquest is Undead, but didn't stop Vaughn from maiming him. You suggest that perhaps, in life, the General of the Phlegethon might have had experience slaying his current kin.Disguise
Lachesis isn't an expert, but the adjustments she made to the disguise are impressive. It fits almost perfectly, but from the way Conquest is staring, you tell he has complicated feelings about this. He beckons for your hand, and traces his thoughts. "The previous Conquest was my mentor…as well as a parental figure. It may have been a form of manipulation, but I'm happy to see their armor being used again."Camaraderie
The Horseman ride into battle together, but the current four have little to do with each other outside of it. Death and Pestilence are close companions, but they rarely let anyone see them together. War is only interested in fire and blood, while Famine quietly resents his so-called brothers-in-arms. Conquest's own Vow of Silence prevent anyone from getting close to him. You've become one of the only exceptions.

The disguise fits perfectly, and Conquest is at a metaphorical loss for words. He even seems somewhat nervous. Carefully, almost reverently, he beckons for your hand. The Horseman doesn't show it outwardly, but breaking his vow and hearing his own voice almost made him crumple. Many in the Legion have always wanted to know why he kept silent. Now that the truth is out, Conquest feels… vulnerable, in a way he can't describe. All the Pale Rider can do is draw directionless spirals in your hand.

The championship match is next. Famine and General Vaughn are going to throw everything they've got at you and Conquest. Now, that you've found Pestilence, fulfilling your end of the bargain with Lachesis, she's motivated to prepare a ritual that'll give you the edge you need. Still, that won't be enough. Anything could happen. That's why you suggested a little something special to Conquest.

The Pale Rider
The Conquerer of the Reap, as silent and stoic as ever, can't help but trot in place. He may need to stay silent a while longer, but Lord Dage promised to release him from this fell blessing. Conquest has you to thank for this. If you ever need a partner in battle, or fancy ruling a realm yourself, the Pale Rider will be at your beck and call. For one last time, he reaches for your hand. "Thank you."
