The more information we can discover about how Chaos is infecting the countryside, the better prepared we will be in our coming battles. We have received word that the wolves are ranging closer to town than ever before, and they are acting strangely. There are also reports of a bear coming down from the hills - that hasn't happened in all my years.

Please go to the woods and return with samples so that we may study the progression of the Chaos infection.

I, personally, have seen an infected wolf eat from a common Marsh plant, and be dead within seconds. Another wolf can eat from the same plant and be unaffected - it even seems to throw off the Chaos effects for a time.

They have been sampling a variety of plants - it is possible that the interaction of plants with each other affects the Chaos infection in different ways. I have been provided with a list of all the vegetation that we have been able to track.

Ah, yes, the Battle Coliseum! Long ago, the nobility of this land sent their sons and daughters to fight for glory and honor here. The three houses of the Coliseum are the Grim Reavers, the Dark Wolves, and the DragonBlades. As we return the arena to prominence in Swordhaven, one day you may battle here, too.
