Priestess of Duat
Please, allow me to accompany you. I must learn more about Djinn to better protect Pharaoh Zhoom and the Sandsea. The Djinn Realm is closely tied to ours, but why do we lack so much knowledge? Chaos Lord Tibicenas would have destroyed our home if it weren't for you, and Kha'in would have taken the throne if Crulon didn't step in. Neither of you can be everywhere at once. We need to learn how to defend ourselves.

Djinn Kings
Lector Crulon is teaching me about the Djinn and their realm. Though King Efreet is the rules of all Djinn, there are several lesser crowns who watch over separate domains. King Almoravid rules over the night, but there are others such as Queen of Wonders, the Lord of Wisdom, and the Lord of the Blind- a Warrior Djinn King. If I can recall Lector Crulon's lessons correctly, there are seven of them.

Marid and Ghul
The Marid are Good Djinn, while the Ghul are followers of Evil. Lector Crulon said that it can be difficult to tell them apart. Ghuls will attempt to trick humans- and even their own kin- to commit heinous, self-serving actions. If they're feeling impatient, a Ghul will skip to the part where it tries to eat them. Some will deny that they have such a barbaric appetite. Supposedly, Tibicenas was above that behavior… but that didn't stop him from drenching himself in Chaos.

Ifrit
Through the Ifrit are the most wretched and hated of the Djinn, they all began as Marid, Good Djinn. Through corruption, spiritual decay, and the temptation of Evil, these Djinn will betray those who care about them most, and use them to satisfy their growing appetites for power and renown. To be named an Ifrit by King Efreet is the greatest shame a Djinn can experience. Even the Ghul will sneer at them.

Dutiful Priestess
What are you doing? No one is allowed inside the Palace of Duat! It's for your own safety. Without a Pharaoh sitting on the throne, the Sandsea writhes and thrashes dangerously. The Palace is its heart. You'll find horrors instead of shelter if you barge in. No one wants Sek-Duat to return, but if a new ruler sits upon the throne, light will return to the Palace's halls. Fil-imteHaan yokram il-mar' aw yohaan… It's a chant that describes how one's true worth is known only through trial and tribulation. You have proved yourself in the thousand eyes of the Sandsea by saving us from Chaos, but humbly refused the crown. Pharaoh Zhoom was chosen by you, but he must prove himself as well. The Pontiffs, Priestesses and I will watch over the Duat as he leads us into a new era.
