Haku Village is being attacked from land and sea. The Yokai and Dragons have banded together for one purpose - to take the head of Empress Ai No Miko. Don't give them another inch, and wipe them off the face of the Isles. I'll be at your side, my friend.
The people of the Isles truly adore their Empress. It would be easy to surrender and hand her over to the Dragons, but they hold their heads high, and bow only to those who bow back. I am of the mind that hardship brings the worst out of humanity, but every now and then, valor shines through.

The Yokai and Dragons want the Isles back in the claws of the beasts. We'll hack them to pieces. Be on the lookout for their stronger warriors, the Dai Tengu and the Long. They appear rarely, but defeating them cripples their forces, and bolsters ours with the riches they drop.
The invading dragons are merely an enemy, but the Yokai local to the Isles are traitors regardless of their loyalties. They'd rather have their home destroyed than feel inferior to the humans. I say we get together for a feast after this, and have the surviving Yokai drowned in dirt.

The Kitsune Spies are trying to sow discord in our ranks by disguising themselves as hapless villagers. Lady Yue has singled them out, and needs us to banish them. I think that's a less gruesome way of asking us to slay them. We should go along with it.
According to dear Yue, the Kitsunebi Pearls they carry on their tails have a sacred meaning. They believe that the Great Yokai Spirit that presides over the Isles is a Kitsune herself, and that these pearls are from her. It's a tall tale as far as I'm concerned.

The Draconic forces have joined up with the Yokai traitors. Interestingly, they don't need to communicate with each other to move in-sync. Let's round up a few, and probe at their cuts to see if they'd be more willing to communicate with us instead.
The bangles that these creatures are wearing were originally made for humans. They're old war trophies from previous conquests, I believe. We can only draw our own conclusions about what this may mean for now. Those creatures seem to drop dead even when we try capturing them alive.

Of all the Yokai that would seek to drink Empress Ai No Miko's blood on a whim, Haruki and the others knew it'd be the Oni. They delight in mindless mayhem, and no one would argue against taking their heads. Come now, lets get them rolling.
There are a few Oni that are more jovial than violent, but they wouldn't be here in the first place. According to Haruki, these Oni are small fry in comparison to 'big meatheads' with actual names. It seems that the invaders only convinced the dumbest of the Oni to follow their commands.

Where did these Dragons come from? Such a large army couldn't have been hovering above the ocean for so long without needing rest. How did no one notice them until Zakhavatchik sent the Empress his challenge? Capture the Zmey Warriors and see if they'll talk.
The Zmey dress very loudly with their golden necklaces and rings, but are otherwise completely mute. Maybe they have to wear these trophies of conquest to make up for their offensive smell. What do you think that's from? Rot, you say? I'll take your word for it.

Masterful work! Zakhavatchik's armies on both fronts have been demolished. All that remains is to slay the Dragon himself. Take up your blade one last time, friend… we'll approach the Mikoto Shrine as partners, and rescue the Isles from that pompous lizard.
Is that Empress Ai No Miko? It's been so long since I've seen him, but she looks so much like my…
