Requirements: Must have completed the 'Confront Akriloth' quest.

Before we do anything, Hero, it is best that you get a feel for the area. Head east and begin ascending the mountain. Also, if we are going to find a way into that cave, we are going to need a clear path! Defeat any ice monsters you run across and return to me.

• Monster Defeated x8
  • Dropped by:
    • Ice Elemental (2) (Version 1)
    • Ice Spitter (Level 20) (Version 1)
    • Ursice Savage (Level 35)

In order to gain access to that cave, we are going to need find four runes that seal it. My gut tells me one of the local Ice Elementals might hold the first one! Fight them until you find one!

The second rune was most likely given to one of the Ursice Savages for safe keeping. Teach them that there is no safe place from you, Hero!

It appears the third rune was meant for someone else, but an Ice Splitter gobbled it up. Fight some of them until one splits it at you!

Before we use the Frozen Claymore on Akriloth, its best to get a feel of its power. Dispatch as many of Akriloth's allies as you can, using the Claymore, and let me know if you think it will work!
